A transplanted New Yorker discovers the secret of good home-cooked hospitality and a lot more in Asheville, North Carolina.

Amy Star lives in Swannanoa, NC since 2015 when she retired from the New York City area.  Amy finds inspiration in the beautiful scenery of Asheville as well as the community’s encouragement to create writing, art and music.  Her writing group, Tale Spinners, was formed at UNCA/OLLI. At age ten, Amy’s first story was published in her local newspaper. Then followed a long hiatus from publication. Amy has resumed writing and seeing her stories published since she has been living in Western North Carolina.
