"Cherry Picking To Feed the Soul" by Kaye Threatt
A North Carolina writer reflects on her delight of annually picking cherries for 40 years at one special orchard of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia.
Kaye Threatt lives in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. During her career as a second grade teacher, she most enjoyed giving creative writing assignments, encouraging her students to have their voices be heard in their words. In early retirement, she co-edited the Reynolda Museum of Art newsletter. Her hobbies include hiking, duplicate bridge, travel and quilting. Her story, "Seasoned Hikers," appeared in the 2019 Personal Story Publishing Project.
