A special toast was proposed—not for health, but for joy.
Vicki Easterly is a retired disability advocate, living in Frankfort, Kentucky, where she is a member of the Bluegrass Writer’s Coalition and the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. Her short story, “Hallie Holcomb’s Hollow,” was published by the UK Carnegie Press. Three of her memoirs are included in the Personal Story Publishing Project anthologies. Her first book, Miracles in The Mundane, was selected for inclusion in the annual Kentucky Book Festival. She currently is writing children’s stories, memoirs, and poetry. She enjoys playing with her granddaughters and acting in community theatre.
