"It's the Damn Humidity" by Alice Osborn

In the "dogs days" of August, this North Carolina writer reflects on her life-long experiences of enduring and thriving in Southern heat . . . and snow!

Alice Osborn is a multi-genre author, singer-songwriter, and editor-for-hire whose most recent CD is Searching for Paradise; her poetry collections include Heroes without CapesAfter the Steaming Stops, and Unfinished Projects. Alice writes folk songs about American history that frequently return to the themes of home, identity, and yearning. She also plays fiddle, mandolin, and banjo, and is trying her hand at acting this year. She lives in Raleigh with her husband and two children. Visit Alice's website at www.aliceosborn.com.
