"One Southerner's Legacy" by Janice Luckey
A grandfather’s hardscrabble, Southern life on a farm and in the mill is a legacy embraced by this North Carolina writer who remembers him with “gnarled leather skin like a pair of old work gloves.”
Janice Luckey lives in Davidson, North Carolina, where she is a member of The Write Stuff sponsored by the Mooresville Public Library. Writing became a rhythm of her life when she self-published a summer romance novel in a three-ring binder in junior high school. This sparked a life-long love affair with all things bookish—writing, reading, books and libraries. Janice hopes to pass that love to her granddaughters by writing stories about those in our Southern heritage.
