Howard Pearre lives in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He has published short fiction and memoir essays in Second Spring and Bearing Up anthologies, and GreenPrints magazine. He retired as a manager with NC Vocational Rehabilitation and later as a counselor with the Department of Veterans Affairs. He volunteers at Reynolda Gardens, conducts voter registration training workshops, and strives to keep up with six widely-dispersed grandchildren. He is a member of Winston-Salem Writers.
