A journey begins with expectations. but along the way you can find yourself with no warning signs and no road maps. You can’t say exactly how it will end.

Elizabeth Chalfant lives in Winchester, Kentucky. She owns a business and volunteers in the community, including as treasurer of the Fort Boonesborough Foundation. This writing effort is her first attempt; it was inspired by the event and with the knowledge that the ending could have been so very different. The message, of course, is to “live every day to its fullest.”
